Clear Labret Retainer
Retainers are often requested to replace traditional metal jewelry during surgery, MRIs, x-rays, and other medical procedures. Glass retainers offer a safe material to keep piercings open when regular jewelry can't be worn. That said, caution must be taken when wearing small gauge glass; it can break when force is exerted on it. For this reason, it is not recommended to wear during athletic or other physical activity.
This design features a flat disk on one side. Jewelry is held in place with one or two silicone o-ring(s) on the non-flared end. Labret style retainers are most often worn in lip, cartilage, lobe, nipple, and genital piercings.
